Coincidences Are Not Causations

More on the 14,000 U.S. deaths (which has now risen to 155,000) from Fukushima fallout "study".

Here is a University of Idaho Nuclear Engineering Professor responding to the "study".  I'm confident he's  intelligent.  I'm confident he understands nuclear engineering.  But I'm reminded of many biologists who have never faced the intentional logical twisting of creationists.  Those sorts of creationists have the same speaking skills as good preachers, that's usually what they do too.   They're used to speaking in public and convincing their audience, facts are secondary.  So when a creationist debates a typical biologist, the biologist just seems at a loss against the creationist's rhetoric.

Professors are technocrats.  And this one acknowledges being an "engineer" and not as interested in the public health aspects.  Dr. Tokuhiro doesn't seem aware of the history of the authors' anti-nuclear activism and creationism-like tactics (in this case employed in print).  He may not understand epidemiology as well as he understands nuclear engineering.

He mentions doing a 20 year study to follow up on the bogus "study".  But that isn't necessary.  Just look up the causes of death regarding the infant mortality.  The deaths should be listed.  It won't take long at all.  And what one will find is a wide range of causes, which can't be particularly attributed to Fukushima.  Which is why the original "study" didn't actually do this important step.
